Fleeting Fall

This was how the Bartlett Pear trees looked in our front yard before we left for Utah. When we returned home, most of their leaves have fallen. I don’t like the end of fall and naked trees.

Fortunately, even though the falling leaves mean that we lose some of our yard’s natural privacy, thanks to my mom’s generosity and hard work, our living room had some of that privacy restored thanks to the lovely dupioni silk curtains.  The shade of blue is perfect for the living room, and with the natural light behind them, they cast a soft blue hue throughout the room.  It now makes the room better than ever for sitting with a good book in front of the fireplace, trying to stay warm in the winter months that are ahead.
